What am I wearing this month?...
It's the first makeup rotation post of the year! I've decided i wont be doing this post every month however i will do one every now and then. I've decided to do this so that you don't get board and because some products might be repeated in the posts therefore it keeps the content fresh. I also apologise for the terrible lighting in these pictures but we're in the middle of winter so studio lights will have to do!
Base Products
For my base this month i'm using products I've tried before except for one new addition i bought whilst shopping in Manchester (Not smart on the Saturday before Christmas).
- Bare Minerals - Complexion Kit
- Beauty Kitchen - Daily Primer
- L'Oreal - True Match Concealer
- Luna by Luna - Setting Powder
- Maybelline - Fit Me Powder
- Rimmel - Insta Fix Setting Spray (Review)
- Nars - Natural Radiant Foundation (NEW)
I'm hoping to finish off the Bare Minerals kit pretty soon as the highlighter is all used up and the bronzer is holding on by it's last legs. The foundation and powder however still have a while to go. I do really like the set but it takes up so much space and it's quite old...
I am not really a fan of the Beauty Kitchen primer as a makeup primer as it makes my face look purple/blue and i think that it is more of a sunscreen than a primer.
I really like the concealer, powders and setting spray therefore i am looking forward to using them this month.
Now, i am super excited to try out my new Nars foundation! The woman at the counter matched my shade and i think it looks beautiful on the skin however i do need to try it out a little longer before i can give my final verdict. Would you like a review?
Face Products?
What would you call these?
2 out of 3 of these products are newbies to the collection which i received in my Glossybox advent calendar.
- Huda Beauty - Winter Highlight Pallet
- Pixi - Rose Blush
- Sleek - Contour and Highlight Pallet
I have tried and tested the sleek pallet before and it is one i love! I already know i will love the highlighters and blush! Although the shades of the highlight pallet are a little out there i think i will still get my use, i mean I've used every shade at least once already.
Eye/Eyebrow Products
Again 2 of these i got in my advent calendar and the other 2 i treated myself to due to the free shipping.
- MUA - Cosmic Vixen Pallet
- MDMFlow - Greater Than Mascara
- Coloupop - Twitterpated Super Shock Shadow
- Colourpop - Brow Boss Pencil
Now, both Colourpop products are amazing, as Colourpop always is. However my first impressions on the mascara isn't great. It doesn't do much for my small lashes and doesn't give me the volume i need, i think ill pass this to my mum after the month is over because i'm not a fan. I haven't tried the pallet yet but the colours look fun to play with!
I forgot to snap my lippies for the month, but here's a list:
- Maybelline - Smokey Rose
- Nars - Velvet Lip Glide in the shade Immoral
- Cougar - Lip gloss in Mulberry
- Accessorise - Diamond Lip Gloss
That is everything... I think!
Thanks so much for reading!
What are you using right now?

New Years Resolutions...
Happy New Year! 2019 has arrived and it's time to think up some goals we want to achieve before 2020. 2020! That is insane. I've decided this year to set some decent goals and big goals, not just your typical "Go to the gym" because lets be honest, that is not going to happen. Instead i have chosen 3 goals i would like to focus on in 2019, keep reading to find out!
Learn to Drive
My biggest goal for this year is to start my driving lessons and (hopefully) pass my test.
I have already emailed the driving school to enquire about starting lessons. My next step is to actually book my first lesson. I feel like i will struggle with driving however hopefully after a few lessons i should become more confident. I bought the app shown above from the app store and it is super helpful! It has all the practice questions to revise and it also has mock exams and quizzes. I have no clue how much my lessons are going cost and because I'm paying for them myself i am hoping i can pick it up quickly and get my test done as soon as possible.
Blog/Youtube?
I feel very motivated to keep on top of my blog this year. I'm planning my blog posts 3 months in advance therefore hopefully i can stay motivated and i am determined not to let college and work step in the way. I was also thinking about starting a channel for YouTube however i'm still undecided and i might wait until i build a strong blog audience first.
Re-decorate my Room
I want to revamp my room this year. I feel that it is very cluttered and therefore seems so small. I want to paint it white and grey to give a more clean and fresh look as i feel it will help me mentally to feel more fresh and happy in general. I just want to give the room life, plus i feel it would help my blog photos as well.
Thanks for reading my goals. Do you have any tips for helping me achieve them? Please let me know!

Annnd... She's back... again.
Oopsy, I may or may not have abandoned you guys by accident. I'm sorry! I didn't realise that starting college and my new job would be so much hard work! Blogging really did become difficult to fit in when i'm at college all day 4 days a week and then working either 2 or 3 of the remaining days of the week. BUUT i have decided that blogging is something i really want to continue and therefore i will find time to do create these posts. i think dedicating one day to taking all my pictured for my posts once a month should help. I have my blog posts planned up until march so hopefully i will keep on track.
Anyway, this blog post will be my annual 'What I got for Christmas' post! I'm not going to list every last item however i will give you a basic run down and my first impressions on each product.
I did receive a lot of bath goodies this year which makes me very happy as i live for a good bath bomb or shower gel! My boyfriend got me the cutest box of lush products and body shop shower gels! Lush is my absolute fave so i was very excited to pop a golden wonder bath bomb into the tub! I also got another box of bath items from my mum. it included a mixture of items such as bubble bath, lemon shower gel, bath salts, a candle and more!
I've been dying to try the Chloe perfume so I was really excited to unwrap this beauty that i have heard so much about! It smell just as good as the beautiful packaging looks! You bet i'm going to be including this beauty in many blog posts in the future!
I also got a Bench gift set and one of those light up hair removers which have always baffled me as i never understood how they would work!
I actually asked to receive this mudmask from Aldi! I remember hearing so much talk about this mask as it was a £5 dupe for the Glamglow mask. I'm thinking about buying the Glamglow mask and doing a comparison post, would you like to see that?
I was gifted the most adorable little bag which is perfect for when i only need to carry my phone and keys! I got some cute pj's and a red umbrella which I've been requesting for ages due to not owning one. I got my annual planner and socks. Finally, I got this cute ring!
I loved all my presents and will find use in every single one. I am extremely grateful!
Hope you enjoyed my first post back!
What present did you love gifting/receiving this year?
